Family Fun on Hawaii Island(夏威夷:家庭欢乐园)

By Freelance Chinese Translator Li – English to Chinese translation services - based in China.

As far as childhood memories go, this may be hard to beat. Watch as your kids run over several Japanese bridges in Liliuokalani Gardens(利留卡拉尼公园). See them discover ancient petroglyphs(岩画) carved into the rocks at sites along the Kohala Coast. Let them stargaze(遥望星空) through telescopes at the Ellison S. Onizuka Center for International Astronomy, 9,300 feet atop Maunakea (莫纳克亚山)(but note that the high altitude(海拔) may not be suitable for younger children). Or join them as you explore the planetarium(天文馆) and interactive exhibits(陈列) in the amazing Imiloa Astronomy Center of Hawaii.Outdoor adventures abound at family friendly parks and beaches with lifeguards and full picnic and restroom facilities. Build a sandcastle(沙塔), explore tide pools(潮汐), or snorkel(使用水下呼吸管潜游) with your kids to catch a glimpse(瞥见) of Hawaii Island’s rich marine life. And always remember to avoid walking on coral(珊瑚) and to keep an eye on your children at all times in the water. Heed(听从) all posted signs and check with lifeguards for current conditions and to find the best spots for kids.Back on land, learn about real-life paniolo (Hawaiian cowboys) and take a wagon ride at the Kahua Ranch(卡华牧场) in Waimea. Exploring the volcano(火山) tubes and lava(熔岩) fields from an active volcano at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is an experience they’ll never forget. Whether it’s learning about astronomy, volcanology or oceanography, your children’s school excursions(短途旅游) just won’t compare(相比) after this hands-on(亲身) vacation.
