Loveland Ski Resort(“爱之地”滑雪场)

By Freelance Chinese Translator Li – English to Chinese translation or Chinese to English translation services - based in Harbin,China.

If there is one thing that Colorado is known for, it’s great snow, and one of the best places to experience the Rocky Mountain(落基山) powder is at Loveland Ski Resort(“爱之地”滑雪场). One of the most popular destinations for locals, Loveland offers 1,365 acres of terrain that ranges from mild, beginner-friendly to wild, experts-only and is the tenth largest ski resort in Colorado. The onsite restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy hot soups, hearty(丰盛的) sandwiches and tasty Mexican food when lunch and dinnertime roll around(到来), and sunny days are celebrated by a succulent(美味多汁的) outdoor barbecue. Loveland is the closest ski resort to Denver and is located just before the Eisenhower Tunnel(艾森豪威尔隧道) in the beautiful Arapaho National Forest(阿拉帕霍国家森林公园).

Loveland typically receives more snow than its neighboring areas. Situated at the top of the Continental Divide next to Interstate 70 provides Loveland with snow from western storms as well as Denver's upslope(坡地). While known as a cold windy area by Denverites(丹佛人), the cold aids in keeping conditions right until their closing in early May. Chair #9, Loveland's newest lift(索道), was approved for construction back in the late 1990's and serves the Divide. Reaching over 12,700 feet, #9 provides a high-alpine(高山) skiing experience unparalled in the Front Range. On a powder day, ride #9 to get first tracks(痕迹) in the wind protected Patrol Bowl(巡逻峰). Three days after a storm, take a short hike on Summit Ridge(峰脊) for deep powder.

Regardless of age or personality, these murder mystery dinners offer a well-rounded(面面俱到的) dose of humor for a wide range of audiences.Guests can participate as little or as much as they like. For those who enjoy the spotlight, the theater actors will make it a night to remember! Having provided murder mystery dinners at private locations & local businesses since the mid 1990's, Adams Mystery Playhouse officially opened the doors of the new Denver playhouse on Halloween(万圣节前夕)of 2006. Denver Botanic Garden (丹佛植物园)

By Freelance Chinese Translator Li – English to Chinese translation or Chinese to English translation services - based in Harbin,China.

There are several reasons that Denver's fine botanic paradise in the city was just named one of the top ten such public gardens in the nation by Country Living Gardener magazine(“当代园丁”杂志), but here's one of the most touching: This garden takes advantage of all the senses, providing touchable, smellable, tasty, colorful and aural(听觉的) outdoor experiences all rolled into one. The therapeutic(有益身心的) garden also serves as a landscape-design model for the facilities that cater to patrons with disabilities or special needs, featuring wheelchair-accessible paths, raised beds(花坛), container plantings(盆栽植物) and other amenities.

Red Rocks Amphitheater (红石露天剧场)

By Freelance Chinese Translator Li – English to Chinese translation or Chinese to English translation services - based in Harbin,China.

The 868-acre Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater nestled(坐落) in the Rocky Mountain Foothills(丘陵) just 15 miles outside of Denver. Ship Rock(“军舰”) and Creation Rock(“创造”), the largest of the monoliths(独块巨石), tower 300 feet above the Red Rocks Amphitheater. These massive brick-colored sandstone monoliths are taller than Niagara Falls.

Red Rocks Park is home to a healthy population of Colorado’s beautiful plants and wildlife. In this area, the Great Plains(大平原) run into the Rocky Mountains at an elevation of more than a mile, creating a home to a unique blend of animals. An excellent way to spot the various birds, deer, foxes and smaller rodents(啮齿动物) is to utilize Red Rocks’ hiking trails. The Trading Post loop(驿站环路) is 1.4 miles and meanders(蜿蜒) through the gorgeous rock formations(队列) of the park..

Red Rocks Park has been named one of the best concert venues in the world. This incredible open-air amphitheater was designed to preserve the natural beauty of the great sandstone ledges(岩架). The massive monoliths act as natural sound walls(声墙), creating unparalleled acoustics. The Amphitheater has seen several world-renown acts, including the Grateful Dead, Dave Matthews Band, John Denver and The Beatles.

The Bingham Canyon Mine(宾汉铜矿坑)

By Freelance Chinese Translator Li – English to Chinese translation or Chinese to English translation services - based in Harbin,China.

The Bingham Canyon Mine is an open-pit mining(露天采矿) operation extracting a large porphyry(斑岩) copper deposit southwest of Salt Lake City, Utah , in the Oquirrh Mountains. The mine has been in production since 1906, and has resulted in the creation of a pit over 0.75 miles (1.2 km) deep, 2.5 miles (4 km) wide, and covering 1,900 acres (7.7 km²). According to Kennecott, it is the world's largest man-made excavation(挖掘,坑洞). It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1966 under the name Bingham Canyon Open Pit Copper Mine.
