Beaches in Saipan Island (塞班岛的海岸)

By Freelance Chinese Translator Li – English to Chinese translation services - based in China.
Ladder Beach(阶梯海岸)Located on the southern part of the island, Ladder Beach on Saipan is very secluded (与世隔绝的)and requires a short hike down steep stairs(徒步穿过陡峭的阶梯) to reach the cove(小海湾). This beach is surrounded on all sides by cliffs and at the bottom of the cliff you will find large open caves along the beach which are great for providing shade during really hot and sunny days.Lau Lau Beach(劳劳海岸)Found along Magicienne Bay on the southeast part of Saipan, Lau Lau Beach is a large beach divided into sections by rock formations with shallow waters and gentle waves. Getting to Lau Lau Beach is a little rough as the road is unpaved(没有铺石子路) and it might be a good idea to bring a 4 wheel vehicle if your planning to visit the beach otherwise it can take a while. The eastern part of the beach is a popular dive spot.Marine Beach(海军海岸)This beach is located on the eastern coast of Saipan and has some of the bluest waters on the island. In addition, vacationers can find pavilions(临时展出馆) complete with barbeque pits to spend a relaxing day at the beach.Micro Beach(微小海岸)Lined with Japanese World War II bunkers(地堡) and also the location of an ancient Carolinian village, Micro Beach is probably the most popular beach on the island today. Micro Beach offers a large park area complete with picnic tables and other amenities(娱乐设施). Large trees scattered throughout the park also provide some shade from the hot tropical sun.Obyan Beach(欧比海岸)Caves, World War II bunkers, secret tunnels, and latte(板条) stones, and an ancient Chamorro village are what await you at Obyan Beach. If your into adventure and historic sites then this is a great beach to visit. Obyan Beach is also popular among divers and snorkelers(潜水者), and provides some great hiking trails to Naftan Peninsula.Pau Pau Beach(泡泡海岸)Located in the northwestern part of the island, one interesting fact about Pau Pau Beach is archeologists recently found ancient Chamorro artifacts(手工艺品) and bones on the southern part of the beach from pre-latte times. Today, visitors can enjoy the long, isolated sandy beach complete with picnic pavilions and barbeque pits. You'll also find a Japanese World War II bunker on the beach site.Tank Beach(坦克海岸)Nicknamed Tank Beach because of an old relic World War II tank which can be seen in the waters just off the shore, Tank Beach is another great beach to just relax in Saipan's beautiful tropical weather, and take a dip in the cool refreshing Pacific Ocean.Wing Beach(羽翼海岸)Found on the northwestern part of Saipan just past the Marianas Resort you can get to Wing Beach by turning left on Wing Beach Road and arriving at one of two entrances to the beach. Spending a day at the beach barbequing and enjoying the tropical sun is a enjoyable activity for many people who come to Wing Beach. There is also a channel where people usually swim out to go diving.
